How to add Awesome Pressing Effect in Blogger using CSS

Well this thing has been requested by many readers, they just love the way everything presses down on my blog, like you can check out this effect by pressing any link or my header logo everything presses down and gives out a nice effect. Well the last request made was by "Anand". So obviously I replied him that I will post this thing as many of other people will be wondering too on how its done, so check out below tutorial.
So now this effect is achieved by just using simple CSS no JavaScript is used so its faster and works good in every browser.
 1. Visit Blogger –> Template –> Edit HTML.
 2. Now press Ctrl + F and search for </b:skin> tag and paste below code above it.a:active{position:relative;top:1px}
 3. Now the above code will automatically add that pressing effect to every link on your blog.
 4. So now if you want to add specific widget this effect just add its id and it will get that same effect, well you can see my CSS what I am using to give effect to header, footer etc.a:active,#HU-Bar-Right .Random a:active,#HU-Bar-Right .btt a:active,.HU-emailsubmit:active,#Label1 a:active,.headerleft:active,#ptb img:active{position:relative;top:1px}
 5. So now when you are done just Save your Template that's it.
 6. So now refresh your blog and see the effect live running on it.

Automatically Open Blogger Comment Links in New Tab

Commenting is usually the best place for spamming your links and sniffing out the link juice, but now webmasters are aware about this thing and they normally have rel nofollow and moderation enabled on their blogs that makes it little difficult for anyone to spam out.
But still people search for more ways to enhance their commenting security so we posted aboutautomatically removing links from your blogger comments or just transforming them into simple text lines, well that solves the problem but if you do not wish to do that you can even add this little tweak to open all the links in new tab, so that anyone clicks that link will take them to that website in a new tab so your website will be still open so he can come anytime back to your website.
So now this can be done by just adding a simple line right above your
tag. But remember this will open all links on your website in new tab, so its not recommended but still you can use.

Open Blogger Comments Links in New Tab

So now if you just need to open links present in your blogger comments then below script would work pretty well, so just install it out.
 1. Visit Blogger > Template > Edit HTML.
 2. Now press Ctrl + F and search for
tag and paste below script above it.
 3. So now you can remove that red line if you already have it, now Save Template.
 4. So now you can refresh your blog and see if this tweak is working.

Facebook may be working on a news feed based on your Likes

Facebook's news feed can be called a hive of random content your friends post, and whether you like it or not, there's no easy way to customise it. But if the social networking giant has its way, users of the Facebook mobile app will have have a news feed brimming with content of their choice, according to a report by Tech Hive. Facebook is reportedly testing a new option for the news feed, which will enable subjects of the pages users may have "liked" previously to appear under a new section: "Recent Articles about". So based on the pages that users may have "liked" in the past, the news feed will vary with content that is useful, or be clogged with even more random data.

However, the task may be easier said than done. Tech Hive reports, “To buy into articles-related-to, you have to trust Facebook to serve up links to content that you really want to read. That's not an easy task and not one likely to be accomplished by calling your attention to a piece just because you "like" a particular Facebook page and an article related to the subject of that page is getting a lot of attention from Facebook's minions.”
Facebook irks users
Working on re(building) your news feed

For those who haven't noticed yet, the news feed already has a Trending Articles option. However, there is quite some difference between Articles Related to and Trending Articles. The latter comprises of articles that have been gaining interest and can be about anything. Articles Related to, on the other hand, are topics that a user has already expressed an interest in.

Facebook is increasingly concentrating on mobile to expand its business and reach more audiences. Late in January this year, the company announced in its Q4 earnings call that Facebook Mobile’s Daily Active Users exceeded those on the desktop version of the website for the first time ever. CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlighted the surge in mobile users, saying, “There’s no argument, Facebook is a mobile company.” He also referenced a comScore report to prove that Facebook is the top app in the US, beating Google Maps, and accounts for 23 percent of total time spent on mobile apps in the country.

In line with its focus on mobile, Facebook is building its own mobile location tracker. Trying to benefit from the growing number of smartphone users, Facebook is developing a whole new app for tracking purposes. Currently, Facebook does work with locations, but only through check-ins and geo-tagged posts. With this new app Facebook will try to help users locate friends nearby while their location is tracked in the background.

According to sources working closely with its development, the new app is slated to be released sometime in mid-March and is designed to run in the background. Reports suggest that the app in essence will be quite similar to Google Latitude, Apple Find My Friends and similar services.

There is no doubt about the fact that Facebook and smartphones are two things that most of the modern world feels incomplete without, and it only makes sense for Facebook to take mobile development ahead at great speed.

How to Record Video and Voice Calls made on Skype

As I have mentioned in my earlier posts Skype is the best way to connect with all your friends together and with thatunlimited calling scheme officially introduced by skype its much more easier t stay connected and play pranks on skype by changing voice pitch and confusing your friends. Well now comes the security post on how you can record the calls made on skype, so it can be necessary if you just want to have some confidential talk and you want it to be recorded for future proof or anything.
So now a free video calls recorder by DVD Video Soft comes into play that can do both works all together or separately. So you can record video calls for the parties or you can go for one side recording depends on you, you can even go for only voice recordings.
Well now the best part is its simple user interface, so nothing is much complicated but you have simple option to record and even select the folder where you want to save all the data. Its CPU Usage consumption is even low as its just a small software.

Its creates .mp4 format for videos you save and .mp3 format for all the voice recordings. So its dam easy to be used just click on the record button and that starts your recording, you can even pause the recording if you do not want to record

Young indie developer Kinects your life

Afour-wheeled robot revs up and travels across the room as twenty two-year-old Samarth Shah verbally commands it to move forward. The robot is connected to a computer and the Microsoft Kinect, an accessory of the XBox 360 video game console. Shah belongs to a sprawling breed of young indie developers who put to use the Kinect’s abilities to recognise speech, gestures, and motion in applications beyond the Kinect’s intended purpose of gaming.

The robot, which Shah built along with two friends Devanshee Shah and Yagnik Suchak, recognises voice commands and gestures and performs simple actions. Raise the right hand and it goes forward. A swipe of the hand sends it to the right. It stops when the left hand is raised and moves to the left when the left hand is swiped. The gesture recognition programme, coded in Visual Basic using the Microsoft software development kit (SDK), carries out what Shah describes as “skeleton tracking”. It follows the positions of 20 joints of the body to detect a valid gesture. The three cameras on the Kinect together determine the angle, position, and orientation of the joints. The trio has decided to scale up the design of the robot to numerous applications such as operating a wheelchair with voice commands. Shah is also working on a Kinect application to surf the web using a browser that recognises movement.

Code in Visual Basic for the speech and gesture controlled robot built by Samarth Shah

Reaching the semifinals of the Kinect Fun Labs Challenge in the prestigious Microsoft Imagine Cup in 2012, got Shah, who was then an engineering student, immersed into the world of Kinect. He procured a Kinect from the US and got his hands dirty with C++ code and later moved to Visual Basic. His winning entry at the Imagine Cup was a prototype used to automate trivial, repetitive tasks for researchers at the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, where he was working as a Research Fellow. The researchers could automatically schedule emails, save updates, share work with their colleagues, print documents, search documents, etc. with the help of gestures signalled to the Kinect. He was awarded a Kinect, which he later used to build more applications such as a combination of the Kinect and a computing board for home automation. Leave the room for five minutes or more and the Kinect will detect your absence and switch off selected utilities in the room. Return and the utilities will switch back on again. You can turn on or off any appliances in the room using a speech command or a gesture.

Eventually when he started interacting with developers around the world, he realised that most of them use C# for Kinect application development. As more support and documentation is available in C# compared with C++ or Visual Basic, Shah decided to switch to the popular programming language.

Owing to his personal interest in image processing, Shah delved deeper and started to explore the use of the Kinect for image processing tasks in Linux and Windows environments. Using the Kinect as a camera and OpenCV, a programming library for computer vision, RGB data and depth data can be retrieved from images. After applying a few processes, the data can be used to perform face detection in almost real time. He says it is possible to run other complex algorithms on the Kinect by modifying his programme further.

While attempting to understand how the Kinect works, Shah also created a few simple applications that could be of practical use or would give ideas to other enthusiasts to build more advanced applications upon them. One of his initial projects, which can be interesting for the geeks in the corporate world, is a programme for gesture and speech controlled presentations. You can move to the next slide with the swipe of your hand or by saying keywords such as ‘next’ and ‘previous’. Another fun application created during that period is a Kinect-controlled mouse through which one can control the computer’s mouse and perform actions such as left and right clicks with hand gestures. Using principles applied to the presentation controller, Shah created a gesture and speech controlled music player and a speech-to-text converter. He also created a Kinect application to view and browse online interactive maps such as Google Maps. Shah claims that all these applications have been tested by him on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

The $150 (Rs 10,000) Kinect, with its compelling array of sensors and cameras, has been attracting hackers, hobbyists, programmers, developers, roboticists, and scientists since it was launched in 2010. Sensors that are too expensive or too rare to tinker with became accessible with the Kinect, enabling young, standalone developers such as Samarth Shah to build amazing things on top of it, without making big monetary investments in their works. Shah says he hopes to use his skills with Kinect development to integrate it with open source environments and for social good -- to help the physically challenged go about their everyday lives and to use the Internet.
