e-xpress announces Ubisoft Essentials for PlayStation 3

Indian games publisher e-xpress has announced the release of a number of classic Ubisoft games for the PlayStation 3 under the Ubisoft Essentials label. Games under the Ubisoft Essentials label will cost Rs 999. These games include Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Avatar, HAWX, Prince of Persia, Driver: San Francisco, and Far Cry 2. Assassin’s Creed puts you in the shoes of Desmond Miles, who is accessing his genetic memory to live the life of the main protagonist of the game – Altair – during the holy crusades era. The game revolves around a secret war taking place all over the world and through time between two groups – the Templars who want to take over the world and destroy free will to create a utopia, and the Assassins who want to preserve free will and let the world shape up how it’s on course to shape up. Assassin’s Creed II has you play Desmond again, but this time, living the life of Ezio Auditore. Set during the renaissance era in Italy, Ezio must take revenge against the Templars who framed his father for treason and had him hung. e-xpress is announcing Ubisoft Essentials for the PlayStation 3 Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood takes place immediately after the events of Assassin’s Creed II where Ezio has become the leader of the brotherhood of Assassins. Ezio must take back the Apple of Eden from Cesare Borgia, who is hiding in the Vatican. The game takes place in Rome and features many famous landmarks such as the Coliseum.  Avatar is based on the movie of the same name. You take on the role of the main protagonist of the movie and get to explore the moon Pandora. The game lets you explore the surroundings, as well as live the life of the alien species called the Navi. The game features the fight between the peace loving tribal Navi and the industrial humans in their quest to mine the planet of the precious element known only as Unobtainium. Hawx is based on a world created by Tom Clancy that is filled with espionage and conspiracies. The game gives you control of a fighter jet and features arcadey controls and aerial battles set in large environments. The game also features a large number of military fighter jets. Prince of Persia is a reboot of the classic series of the same name. Players step into the shoes of the ever unnamed Prince as he runs across the princess Elika. The Prince and Elika set out to save the world from an ancient evil that resides within a giant tree called the Tree of Life. It is up to the Prince and Elika to cleanse the tree of its evil and bring order to the world. Driver: San Francisco is a driving game that features one of the biggest driving environments ever. The game foregoes the on-foot segments of the previous games in the series in favour of a new system called Shift. Shift allows you to take control of any vehicle you see, thus lending a new dimension to the epic chase sequences that the franchise is famous for. Far Cry 2 pits you in the savannah as the various countries of Africa are in turmoil. The game is an open-world sandbox where you are free to travel wherever you want, provided you have the skill and the ammunition to fight off enemies. The game is well known for its deep level of immersion, but was criticised for its reckless use of respawning enemies.
